Dearest Ashok Uncle and Eva Aunty!!
I really feel myself fortunate to know a family like your's in karlsruhe.
Your affection towards indians amazes me. I have learnt alot from you. It is only because of you that we indians are together here in karlsruhe. I really wonder sometime that how you could help "anyone and everyone", "anytime and everytime" and for "anything and everything".
I would take this oppurtunity to accept that it was only because of you both it became possible for me to overcome many difficulties which would have been troublesome otherwise. From my very first day in karlsruhe it was your presence that has strengthen me.
The love, affection and concern that i got from you is unforgetable. No matter where i go or what i do, you both will be always with me in my memories.
Thanx alot for all the lovely moments you gave us here in karlsruhe.
Best regards
Simmi

It’s not everyday that you get to meet such nice and wonderful people as Ashok Uncle & Eva Aunty. We consider ourselves very fortunate that we know them. We always look forward to a visit to their home – it’s so cosy and they make you feel comfortable and at home right away. We’ve enjoyed the wonderful Indian/German food cooked by Uncle & Aunty and so too the get-togethers at their home (Fasching, Diwali, etc.). We’ve shared our happiness with them and at times our grief, and that’s what we will remember most about Uncle & Aunty……that they stood by us and with us always. We admire and respect them for their totally unselfish and loving dedication with which they welcome & take care of every new visitor from India (especially students) to their home and into their lives. And in return, they don’t expect or ask for anything!

We salute you, Uncle & Aunty. We’re sure that everyone who has known you,…..and indeed everyone who will know you in future……will carry his/her own special memories of you both…..but they all share the same sense of gratitude and respect that we have for you.

Thanks for everything.

With warm & affectionate regards,

Avantika & Niket.

Dear Uncle and Aunty, we came to know about you through Chinmay, while searching for an apartment... and when we met you... we were really surprised by your affection and helpful nature towards completely unknown people. As we could see from other's comments in your guest book... that makes you beloved to everyone.

We dont have much to say.. other than to say that... our love and affection towards you will continue forever... and you are one in our family.

greetings,
Shajith and Jasmine.

Dearest Uncle and Aunty,

From the very first time that I came to your place in Karlsruhe and met u, I sincerely felt that GOD has sent Kunchiwala uncle as a MESSENGER to Deutschland inorder to help the Indian students especially those who are actually lost in a completely different world. I have experienced a home like situation at Ashok uncle's place and thank him from the bottom of my heart for all things that he has done for me. I have seen that keenness in you that u possess for helping the newcomers out there. I also had rotwein 4 d first time at uncle's place and relished it too. Kudos to Uncle n Aunt n keep up the good work that u guys r doin out there. Vielen Dank for the indisches food that I had at your place in Karlsruhe. All the best.

Do you know, there is a cute little India in karlsruhe... It is our kunchiwala uncle's home.....
I came to know about kunchiwala uncle and aunty from my seniors who came to karlsruhe in 2003-04.
The affection, warmth, and care shown by our uncle and aunty is uncomparable.... It always feels happy to be in their company...
From the day we landed to karlsruhe upto the day we take off to India again, we(DAAD-2005 karlsruhe batch)literally have no problems.... Coz for all the problems... there is only one solution.... " KUNCHIWALA uncle and aunty".
Dear uncle and aunty.. I don't know whether i will come back to germany for my job or higher studies... but you will be in my sweet memories......forever.....

Uncle and Aunty are like our parents in Karlsruhe. From the very first day itself, I felt at home in their shelter. They are always ready to help us with a smiling face.
Frequently, they arrange dinners and outings for us to provide some sort of recreation. We never hesitate to approach them for any kind of favour.
I consider myself fortunate enough to be in touch with such a nice family.I shall really miss them in India...

I came to know Kunchiwala uncle on 1st of September 2004 when i landed on frankfurt airport.....I was knowing him before through but as a person I could see him on 1st......
We came to Karlsruhe and in intial days faced really a lot of problems...we were not provied accomodation on the very first day....and there Kunchiwala uncle came to our help like a god....
I cant imagine a situation without the Kunchiwala uncle in Karlsruhe.....
He is taking care of Indian students especially IIT students from 1997 and suffered a lot of pain and doing it for the satisfaction and without any monetary benifit.......but he really enjoys helping the students and students also rely on him like their father and mother.....
I have hardly seen such a dedication, commitment, sacrifice and love for someone selflessly......
Hats off to Kunchiwala Uncle!!!!
I wish him a very healthy life and pray to god that he gets what he wants and may continue to bestow his love to next batches!!!!!
Also I would like to mention here Eva aunty who is whole heartedly doing this work with Kunchiwala uncle........i think without eva aunty this was not possible for uncle to help students in such a large scale.....now when ever I will have b'day I will always remember eva aunty's cake.......
I cannot really pay their debt for what they have done to me or rather us....But instead I would like to carry that debt all through my life......

when i think abt kunchiwala uncle and eva aunty, my memory takes me back to that time when i reached to karlsruhe on the evening of 1st september, 2004 along with a few other iitans. to say the least we were worried and overawed in a new place with new culture and alien language. but we found in uncle and aunty the care and affection that drove away all our awe abt this place. they were unknowns to us but what they did for us (and are still doing) was amazing. through out our stay in karlsruhe, we were secure because we knew whatever happened at least we had a shelter and there was at least two ppl in the world who wud stay with us. the love and affection that we got from them can not be expressed in words. we are grateful to them for whatever they did for us. as far as i am concerned, i really feel lucky to have got the chance to meet them. they are like my parents in karlsruhe. i will not say thanks to them coz that will be too formal a gesture to these great family, but from the core of my heart i convey my regards to uncle and aunty.

Very nice webpage. I am sure the link is already pupular among all the IIT students visiting Germany. If any student,graduate/professor is reading this, I would highly recomend contacting Ashok and Eva. They are the nicest people I met in Germany, and made my stay lot more comfortable and enjoybale. For me, they were more like parents away from home. Now I am working at Intel Corporation, after getting my PhD from USA. I gave my GRE exams in Germany, again after some assistance and encouragement from Ashok and Eva. With lots of Love and Respect - Ashish
