Dear Uncle and Aunty,
I am writing in your guest book after returning back to India that is after spending marvelous nine months of DAAD scholarship with you. After coming back I am still not able to admit that my uncle and aunty are not with me. After settling here the memories from Karlsruhe and Germany have expelled from my heart.
It was your words of love, direction and parental guidance which have supported me in the foreign country. The care which you had taken made me feel that I have not come very far from my country. It is really difficult to express these feelings in words. My parents in Pune were worrying about me, but when I told them that Kunchiwala uncle is there in Karlsruhe to take care of Indian students then they were really relaxed about my stay in Germany. My parents have rightly mentioned that ‘you are true partner in successfully completing my educational study in Germany’.
I have carried all the cherished memories of my stay at Karlsruhe with you. The frequent meet for dinners at your home and at Europahaus, my birthday celebration, visits to the places near Karlsruhe and most memorable visit to Atomic Power Plant arranged by you are some of the moments which I can not forget.
I pray for your long, healthy and prosperous life. Please come to my home whenever you come to India and allow me to host your stay here in India. I hope we will meet again in India or may be in Germany.
I really miss you both uncle and aunty.
Davendu.

Dear Uncle and Aunty,
You have been my source of strength during my stay in Karlsruhe. Your parental guidance, love and affection was there throughout, right from the beginning till the end when I had little time for socializing & busy giving final touches to my thesis. The frequent dinners and cakes that I enjoyed in your company was such a delight.
Now that I am leaving, I am deeply grieved to leave you behind but I carry with me sweet memories. Please meet your daughter whenever you happen to visit India.
Warmest regards
Sweta

Hi uncle and aunty,
I would like to say that from the day we arrived here and now that we are going back, in each occassion and at each time it was you people that made our stay in germany so memorable.
I remember the day I was sick and aunty took all the trouble to take me to a doctor, it made me feel that I am at home. I feel very lucky that I came to karlsruhe than going to any other universities in germany. I want to thank both of you from the bottom of my heart.
I will miss both of you once I leave germany...but will always be on touch.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kunchiwala,
I, Mr.Yashavant Kulkarni, father of Davendu Kulkarni studying in Karlsruhe University for last 9 months, firstly thank you a lot. Actually, the word 'thanks' have very short meaning which is unable to express my feelings.
The help & co-operation with love & homely atmosphere given by you to my son & to other Indian students is really great. The safety feeling in my mind & in my family members created by you is really a matter of great satisfaction. It cannot be put up in the words. Moreover I will mention that you are also a partner in the success of my son in completing his educational study in Germany.
You are really taking great efforts & contributing on your best for Indian students to make their stay comfortable. Because of your help & co-operation students can complete their educational courses pleasantly & happily.
I believe that you both will live in our hearts life long.
I wish you both the happy, prosperous & long life.

Dear Aunty and Uncle,
Well, although my parents have already expressed their feeling and I also feel the same. But then I also wants to fil the guest book .....I remember when I met my senior DAAD students from Karlsruhe in IIT chennai they said that karlsruhe people donot need any information or guidance before gng to germany as KUNCHIWALA AUNTY UNCLE are there. I was happy and surprised and was really eager to meet such people. Through my seniors I came to know about Aunty and Uncle and they told me about their website. I immediately mailed aunty and within few minutes i got her reply. I was really surprise. I got really excited to meet aunty and Uncle. When I reached Karlsruhe Ashok Uncle(Kunchiwala Uncle) was there to recieve me and it was such a nice feeling. I never felt home sick . Aunty uncle love us like our parents. Uncle's home used to give me a very homely feeling. And the dinner I used to have with uncle was simply great. He guided us and made our stay in
Germany very pleasant. Not only this It has always being great to be in company of Aunty and Uncle. We call Aunty a walking Encyclopedia. She is very Knowledgeable and an interesting person. She is very sweet and always their whenever you need her. Uncle being very jovial is simply a wonderful person who live life Kingsize. Now when the time has come to leave Germany I feel really sad. But I want to tell you one thing this is not the end of our relationship but just a beginning. My parents are very eager to meet you. So I invite you to please come to my place when you come to India. I Dont know anything Aunty and Uncle you have to take some time from your busy schedule to meet your daughter in India. I feel like writing endless but dont want to take much space of this wonderful website.
Always Love you Aunty and Uncle,
Best Wishes,
Liza

Dear Uncle & Aunty,
Though I am not a strong believer in God, I would like to thank God for giving us Uncle and Aunty during the stay of us in Germany. By all means, you were like our parents. You made our lives very easy in a foreign land. We never hesitated to approach you for any kind of favour. The frequent dinners and the very special kuchens are the memories to cherish. Visits to different places with you are simply unforgettable.
I would like to thank you for all your helps and guidance. I pray to God for your long and healthy lives.
With regards,

Hello Uncle and Aunty,
Time flows by but memories remain forever.Standing at the juncture of our return to India,we DAAD students realize how much prized and precious your company was to us. Your parental guidance not only enabled us to overcome the initial hurdles of a foriegn land but thereafter ensured a smooth stay for us.
I will never forget the wonderful Sunday picnic we had in Schloss garten in your company followed by a visit to Rhine.
May the Almighty give you a long and healthy life and may you continue to shower your unconditional love and affection towards Indians in the same way in years to come by.
I seek your blessings as thaking you for all that you have done would be belittling the value of this relationship. I will always cherish the sweet memories of your company.
With warmest regards

Dear Eva & Ashok,
My daughter, Miss Liza Mahey, who is in Karlsruhe, though far far away from us, she explains that Uncle and Aunty are so caring and loving that eight months time shrink like eight days. We are really fortunate and worriless parents to find our children in the safe hands of godly personality like you. The words become short to express our feelings, happiness, emotions and gratitude to such a personality who will not be remembered by us but by our generations to come as well for the noble cause undertaken by you. We promised Liza to visit Karlsruhe sometime in December, 2005 but she said No to our visit. The child who was so attached to her parents, never imagine to live in isolation and if she is completely settled, never felt our absence, it is something not less than a magic. The magician is none other than you. Yours hospitality, parental touch made the stay of our children extremely comfortable and memorable. We really find a perfect couple in you and pray to Almighty God for your healthy and prosperous life.
Lot of regards from the bottom of our hearts.
We, the luckiest parents.

I am Leena Garg, one of the DAAD student from University of Stuttgart. Firstly, I would like to thank you for your hospitality on behalf of the DAAD students in stuttgart. I had gone through your website. It is really very informative and helpful website for new students. I really appreciate the efforts you have made in maintaining such a database of students studying and working here in Germany: It was a real pleasure to meet you in Karlsruhe and see your love
and affection towards students. I have heard about you from Liza and
other students. You have really created a homely environment for the
students who are at such a far distance from their family members. It was my
previlege to meet such a kind hearted family here in germany.
With regards
Leena

I went through a lot of absolutely great and stunning comments about Ashok uncle and Eva Aunty in this guest book, posted by my fellow countrymen as well. The best one I liked was "A home away from home", what a factual way to put it. Additionally during our (me and my wife's) stay here, we had one more feeling which we always felt in our heart, a protective guardian couple showering their unconditional love, blessings and care on us. Though, we like most of the children were a little irresponsible at times, but on the whole it was always a natural and perfect guardian-children relation. Now after knowing ashok uncle and Evy aunty for about 8 months, it feels quite like a mini-india for us in karlsruhe. We are quite sure, few years down the line when we would have grown a bit older, with a bit more of grey hair, and will be going through our photographs with uncle and aunty, we would surely wonder about how helpful uncle and Aunty had been through out our stay here. Specially our dear Eva Aunty, who made such an effort of helping us with the government regulations, registrations, tax cards etc etc. Its truly remarkable.
Dearest Uncle and Aunty, needless to say, it would be a great honour for both Nidhi and Me to be of any kind of help to you at anytime in the future and any geographical location.
We do not want to thank you for so much love and care you gave to us, as it would be belittling the value of this relationship. We would always store it in our heart with tender love and affection.
With Lots of Regards and Love
Nidhi & Shailender.
