You have touched our lives and hearts through utmost deeds of helpfullness during our stay in Karlsruhe. Whether it was an appointment for a doctor or a trip for the groceries, you were always there for us in the times of need. In a land devoid of any friends and family, you and aunty formed the best family one could hope for.
We wish you all the best.
Thanks a lot once again from the bottom of our hearts.

Its very difficult to express in words about the warmth hearted Ashok Uncle & Eva Aunty. I am sure every body whoever been in touch with them also having the same opinion.

I appreciate the way they welcome and help every body coming to their home. They are especially taking care of the Students who are coming to Karlsruhe.
Even when I called them first time they were busy with new IIT student’s batch to make them feel comfortable.

They are doing all this without any return and they don’t expect or ask for anything!

I salute you, Uncle & Aunty.

Thanks for everything.
With Best Regards
Mahesh

Hello all,
My brother Suman Roy who is now in Germany under DAAD fellowship program studying in the University of Karlsruhe.I heard about Kunchiwala Uncle and Aunty from my brother. They are like his parents in Karlsruhe, helping always by any means.I want to mention one such special ways of helping.Suddenly my brother have faced one problem of transferring money to India. He tried everyways, but failed. Then Uncle had taken the case and transferred it safely through ICICI bank.He helped a lot on our crucial time.I dont know how can we convey our heartiest thanks to them.My brother is very lucky to remain in Germany under their guidance. We will remain thankful to them forever.

Hey Ihr Beide
Its been a long time since we met you for the first time....13 years. There were tough times and good times but you were always there to help us out.
You are an exceptional couple, i think one of the warmest families we met in Germany during our stay of 7 years.
We wish you good health and prosperity and hope to see you soon in India or in Deutschland.
And yes - all the best for the great job you are doing by helping out the Indians who come to Karlsruhe for the first time.

Best regards

Vishal and Roshni

I came to know Uncle in month of May 1999 when we came to University of Karlsruhe under DAAD sandwich program. It was my first visit to any foreign country and Germany was absolutely different for me. Thanks to Uncle and aunty who helped us in many ways

Uncle was really helping hand, either we need appointment with doctor or we need any help in purchasing groceries every time uncle was there with us.

One day uncle took us to high speed driving. I could not forget my first experience of traveling at 200 km/hour.

If you know, Uncle hails from Gujarat and I am being a gujju guy enjoyed lot with uncle. Many a times, when I feel loneliness then I use to go to uncle's home and talk to him in gujju. Many a times, Uncle prepared gujju dish for me.

A visit of Fredburg with Uncle is also memorable event. It was also my first experience to play in snow.

I once again very thankful to uncle and aunty for making out stay comfortable.

We got to know family Kunchiwala in summer 1999 in an Indian get together at the University of Karlsruhe. We established very easily a strong bond between us due to their warm, friendly and ever ready to help nature. Their loving and affectionate nature is perhaps the reason that they are regarded and addressed Uncle and Aunty by young Indian community in Karlsruhe.

We landed in Germany in winter 1996. We had initially come for perusing our M. Sc. at the University of Karlsruhe, funded by DAAD. In the beginning we had tough time adjusting ourselves in a different climate, language and culture. We were assisted by the course coordinator regarding administrative formalities and accommodation, still there were times when we found ourselves lost in a foreign land. Slowly we got to know some Indian students who were living little longer there. They told us about DIG and events like Diwali etc. We still remember that getting the tickets for Diwali 1996 was a great deal, because students were kept so isolated from these Geshelschafts. It has changed a lot in the mean time and the sole credit goes to Family Kunchiwala who took initiative and made consistent efforts in taking care of incoming Indian students. Today Indian students enjoy a far better status in Karlsruhe than it was 10 years ago. Today DIG even has a youth association.

Knowing family Kunchiwala was a blessing for us. We could bend on them for any little or big help. We appreciate very much their natural affection and inclination towards students. In spite of their busy schedule they always find time for students, which is unusual in a land like Germany.

We spent 5 remember able years with Kunchiwala family in Karlsruhe until we left Germany in 2004. We still feel a very close bond with them. They always stood behind us in all our good and bad times and always supported us.

Dear Aunty and Uncle, We thank you from our hearts for the love and help you extended us during our stay in Karlsruhe.

It is very hard to express our feelings about Kunchiwala Uncle and more specially Unty by words. I still remember them as our family member since their association with us during our stay at Karlsruhe. Those days were so colorful and memorable. Infact Uncle and Unty proved them as the real grand parents of my daughter in Karlsruhe although the association was merely for a year or so. Good to have such people in abroad who usually help the Indian and even foreigners by heart and soul.
We want to convey our deepest sense of gratitude and regards to Unty and Uncle.

Hello you guys!I am very happy to get to know you. I wish you a happy life! Best greetings from Karlsruhe!
Actually I wanted to write it in Chinese, but it didn't work to post it in the guestbook. It seems Chinese letters are not supported.
